Fabricator: pressure drops and oil carryover resolved on air-assist cutting
Who: a fabricator in Northern Europe running one 6 kW fiber laser and a mixed oxygen/air workload, about 12 staff. Machine: Xinhong laser cutting auxiliary screw air compressor, 1.3-3.5 m3/min at 0.7-1.3 MPa with integrated dryer and filtration. Problem it solved: the shop's generic piston compressor could not hold pressure during long air-assist cuts, and oil carryover was fouling the cutting head's air line. Before: mid-cut pressure drops, mirror contamination and weekly air-line cleaning. Now: stable oil-free air supply at the cutting head through full shifts. Where the numbers come from: the compressor product specification (flow, pressure band, oil-free output, integrated refrigerated dryer) and the buyer's own maintenance log; contamination reduction was recorded in the shop's service notes after commissioning.
Application based on customer feedback; individual results depend on materials and production conditions.
